Bobby Fish (born October 26, 1979)[1] is an American professional wrestler, who is best known for wrestling with Ring of Honor, Evolve Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Noah[2] in Japan. Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him #280 of the 500 best singles wrestlers of the PWI 500 in 2009,[3] up from number #303 the previous year.[4] In 2010, he began competing in mixed martial arts.

Career in Pro Wrestling

Independent Circuit

Bobby Fish made his pro wrestling debut in 2002 after training with Tony Devito.[5] He competed for several years in the Northeast under the names Jerk Jackson (2004–2005) and Madden Fisher (2006). In 2006, he began wrestling as Bobby Fish and continues to appear under that name. He has appeared for IWA Mid South, NWA Upstate, New England Championship Wrestling (NECW), MXW Pro Wrestling, New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC), and NWA New York among others.

Pro Wrestling Noah

Fish first toured Japan in 2006 with Pro Wrestling Noah where he continues to work to this day (2010).

Ring Of Honor

He first wrestled for ROH in 2005 (as Jerk Jackson) at Do or Die IV in Elizabeth, NJ.[6] He returned (as Bobby Fish) at Final Battle 2007[7] and appeared in several matches on Ring of Honor Wrestling in 2009.[8]

Evolve Wrestling

In 2009, he was announced as one of the participants scheduled to wrestle on the first Evolve Wrestling show.[9] On January 10, 2010, he performed in the opening match at Evolve 1, in which he lost to Kyle O'Reilly via pinfall.[10]

Mixed Martial Arts

Fish trained with Jerrick Jones at Albany Boxing before his MMA debut on January 29, 2010. He had his first fight for the Cage Wars organization at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, NY and defeated Justin Pierpoint by TKO in the 3rd round after Pierpoint suffered a broken nose at the end of the 2nd.[11]
